I must rant! Today I severed ties from the Tennessee Titans b/c they traded my husband-but-he doesn't-know-it-yet Steve McNair to the Baltimore Ravens. I hope the Titans lose this season (and good) b/c every year they trade a good player and bring in some loser (yes, Pacman Jones, I'm talking to you). If by chance the Titans make it to the Superbowl and win, I hope it rains on their parade (literally).
However, this is good for me b/c the Ravens have better colors!
So I am now officially a Baltimore Ravens fan. I renounce all of the bad things I ever said about them. I will wear my purple, gold and black with pride in the sea of red, navy, "Titans" blue and white.

I think this whole "War on Christmas" debate is ridiculous. I don't mind hearing "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" (I think holiday tree is stupid, but that's for another conversation). Today a customer told my manager that he was doing some Christmas shopping and quickly covered his mouth changing it to "holiday shopping." A few hours later I'm reading a letters-to-the-editor post from a woman who refuses to shop at stores that do not "acknowledge" Christmas. I think this so-called war comes from people with nothing better to do in life. If you don't celebrate Christmas, fine, don't celebrate. If you do, fine, celebrate Christmas, Christmas will be Christmas whether or not a store says "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays"

It doesn't make my day go slower but I don't feel as productive (probably b/c I'm hiding when certain songs come on.. lol). Last year they had an '80s and '90s station on and it was great to get work done to the station. I was told people thought the station was depressing, well, listening to teen pop is depressing

We have a pop station at work and they play the same loop of songs twice in a day. Granted, they do play BEP "Don't Lie" (a saving grace), and I have discovered three songs that I like such as "Time to Make Up My Mind" (Lillix ), "Good Day" (Luce) and "Get to Me" (Train). The rest of it is so irritating and atrocious that my co-worker and I talked about how we were tempted to change the station while in the business office on separate occasions.
I've even gone as far as searching the Muzak Web site for a comments section to complain about the music but the sneaky bastards don't have it as an option (hmm, I wonder why......)
Am I crazy or does anyone else agree that Muzak is evil?

I found this on the Miss Janet Fanclub Web site: Eric West Teams Up With Indie Dance DJ And Supports Ms. Jackson While gearing up for the release of his album "Half | Life," rising American pop sensation Eric West [no relation to rap superstar Kanye West] found time to team up for popular New York dance DJ Galbis for an upcoming single, which according to one source might hit the dance floors in Europe before it finds it way to America. At the end of the month Eric will be attending the annual MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, FL. When the pop singer was asked about what he'll be wearing to the show, he told Teen People "I'm a huge Janet Jackson supporter, I've met her aboout 7 times, so for the show a good friend of mine who is a clothes designer designed a special I support Janet shirt for me. You'll see what it looks like at the show." More on Eric West and the VMA fashion can be found in next month's Teen People Magazine. Eric's new CD "Half | Life" was originally scheduled for release in September but will arrive January 2005. Eric's publicist Marilyn Murphy stated, "With a lot of major artist releasing records in the fall, Eric could get lost in the shuffle so it was our decision to push the record in the first quater of 2005," "If we start working it immediately after Eric's fall club tour of Europe and the US that only gives us a month and a half before the charts get frozen for the holidays," Barry Amatiello added, "So the question is, Can we push it enough in that short amount of time or do we let the PR machine build and take it to radio in January, which is what we decided upon." More information on Eric West can be found on www.eric-west.com more information on DJ Galbis can be found on djgalbis.com and for the latest news on the 2004 VMA's visit vma.mtv.com. - Sarah Jordan
