Yeah, we need a complete and balanced explanation from the three of them. Was it a combination of creative differences and Stacy's drug problem? Also, wasn't she in therapy prior to the the breakup? Maybe she had a revelation about her career and at that point Stefanie and Renee were not willing to go there?

Yeah. It's really not fair of them, though, to just let the blame/reasons for the breakup fall to her. Whether it was or not, they're still partly responsible, and they need to own up to that just like Stacy did. Stacy didn't own up to much of anything. The drug thing was already floating around so she had no choice but to say something about it. I don't blame any of of them for the break-up. They had a shitty record label. RCA never truly cared for WO, so, they found a way to get rid of them. With all that happening, I guess Stacy just couldn't take it anymore. It must have been a stressful time for all three of them. So, Stacy must have just said to hell with it, and started down a new path in her life. One that would lead to the Black Eyed Peas. She seems really happy now. Everything happens for a reason. Stacy had to go through that period in her life to get where she is at now.

So we're left with this: Is this where the other two are supposed to be, or are they still on their path? They don't seem content with just promoting Hypnotic, hence the disappearing act.

Only Stef et Renee know what they want. May it be movies or music.

What's so eerie about this is during the "Fire" project, I began to worry about not only the group but Stacy the most. I don't know why, but everytime I would see her I just wondered about her well-being. Then, the drug use surfaces, I'm still shocked by the whole thing. I hate to be so mean, but if RCA drove her to this, they should burn in hell.

LOL! I'm all for a belly roasting in hell for RCA. Yes, it is very shocking that she resorted to drugs but underneath all the beauty, glamour, fame, and money there's a human being there. She's human, she is going to make mistakes. I just know that i'm happy that she's back to her old self again.

Sad thing is, they probably don't even care. God, I wish we could have gotten WO back with Magico. What they needed at that point was a good manager who might have been able to prevent some of this.

Actually, the article isn't that clear on that.
So, it could have been a reason for the breakup, or her reaction to it. We really need some sort of a time line here.

I'm not even going to speculate on when the drug use started.
