Here is the link: www.sky.com/showbiz/picture_gallery/0,,50004-1175946-3,00.html Article: NEIL SEAN'S GOSSIP She may be the queen of cool now, but we reveal how Fergie - from the hip group Black Eyed Peas - was once in a cheesy girl band. And now she's planning to block a re-release of one of her earlier efforts. The singer started life in a flop teen band called Wild Orchid, and they released a single entitled My Tambourine. It was never a hit... but plans are now afoot to release the track worldwide. Fergie though is not pleased: "It was all so long ago and this could be harmful to my image as an artist now." Unfortunately for her, her former label has her signed permission from years ago to exploit the track. In the words of one of her hits, her old label told me: "We wish she would just 'Shut Up' and enjoy the experience." A remix of the track will be out this summer.

Why on earth does RCA wish to release this song in particular. It's a nice song, but, it's not exactly one of their really, really good ones. If she did sign a contract that gives RCA the permission to release the song and or any other Wild Orchid songs, then she has no choice but to accept it and move on. Besides, Renee, Bobby, and Stefanie will get their dues from the song when RCA releases it. Stacy will also get her dues as well. So, it's nothing to be upset about.

(Rant begins) I like "My Tambourine" and all but I wouldn't release it as a single. "The River," imo, would have been a better choice. ([bIf[/b] this story is true). Why now? If they want to talk about releasing singles they should have done their job years ago. They're probably doing this to exploit Stacy's fame, or it's a slow work day at RCA. (End of rant) I agree w/ Ellie's last point. Stacy will profit from this, and it will introduce more people to WO who don't know what we already know

The whole article was very inflammatory to Stefanie and Renee. I don't know if those were Stacy's words, but, she comes off like being in Wild Orchid was embarrassing for her.

Yeah, I was going to say something about that, but I was so caught up in my rant. Then again, I bet Neil Sean has never listened to a Wild Orchid CD in its entirety, so I'm not going to argue with a fact-empty, pseudo writer/gossip columnist.
