They won tonight in the Best Rap Performance by a Group or Duo category for "Let's Get It Started." I guess Stacy finally got her wish for a Grammy

It's nice that they won. I don't even watch award shows anymore. There's no one on there that I'd like to see so, I don't watch them.

I'm not a fan of award shows anymore. I just turned it on for noise and I looked for the winners online.

To all of you who purposely boycotted the Grammys, you missed an incredible performance. BEP opened up the night with "Let's Get It Started" and Stacy herself launched the awards show by belting out the opening line "Leeeeeeeeeet's get it started in here" and she sounded AMAZING!!! She held the first word extra long and then punctuated the word "started" with an extra-smooth vibrato. Her voice never ceases to amaze me:)

I possibly would watch them again, but, not before the industry starts putting out music that's worth listening to. The shit the industry is putting out as music is nauseating. There's not one real singer/songwriter out there right now that's grabbing my attention. The artists that I do listen to are in my opinion dynamite international artists who usually sing in their native tongue, whatever that may be, Spanish, Italian, French, Greek and so forth.
The music industry has successfully pushed those artists out who actually do have amazing talent. They have been replaced by the likes of Ashlee Simpson. I'm still in a state of complete shock as to how she got a record deal, achieved international fame and recognition. Artists with real talent who are being pushed aside and swept underneath the rug are most definitely on the verge of becoming extinct if the industry keeps choosing quantity over quality. I do not want to wake up one day in my 50s to know that Britney Spears is still considered to be crème de la crème of music.
As for Stacy's performance, I'm sure it was great. She is and has always been a great perfomer. Even though I am not a Black Eyed Peas fan, I am happy for their Grammy win.
