I'm not sure if you all have been following the murder trial of Scott Peterson, but today was the day justice was handed out. Today, after a grueling 5 month trial Scott Peterson has been found GUILTY of the murders of Laci Denise Rocha Peterson and Conner Peterson. May God be with her family right now, for justice has been served and two murders have now been avenged.

I believe justice was served b/c this man did some shady stuff that implicated him w/out hard evidence. I'd rather be satisfied with a life sentence (w/out parole) than death. It's cheaper to let him live with what's he's done for the rest of his life than kill him.

Yes, life without parole would be a better punishment. I think he needs to rot everyday in prison thinking about the reasons why he is there. True, that there wasn't dynamite physical evidence, but there was circumstantial evidence. Which makes up about 90% of all criminal cases. Direct evidence means there were witnesses to a crime. Process of elimination leads you to believe that he was the only person who could have done it. Whether you believe she was killed on the night of the 23rd or on the morning of the 24th, he was the last person to see her alive on both days.
To believe Peterson's shyster of a lawyer, Mark Geragos, there were a person or persons who kidnapped an 8 month pregnant Laci Peterson while supposedly walking her dog on the morning of December 24th, 2002 wearing no coat in 40 degree weather, killed her, weighted her body down in the SF Bay and framed her husband for the murder.
When people frame other people, they usually know each other. To believe the defense theory, you have to believe that there's some guy out there kidnapping pregnant women, murdering them, and then framing their husbands for the murder. The reward for Laci was $500,000. You mean to tell me that some other guy framed Scott, only to not collect the reward money? So, there's some guy kicking back in his Lazyboy drinking a beer, thinking, yeah, I got that Peterson guy, he's going to death row while I live it up in my trailer without half a million dollars! Yeah, right! A likely story!
I am elated that the jury didn't believe the defense's wild theories. This case came down to pure common sense. The case didn't have a bloody murder scene, no eye witnesses, but it did have the defendant's own words that convicted him. I get really excited knowing that he's about to become somebody's bitch in prison!

The jurors recommended the death penalty this afternoon. I'm disappointed b/c I think the cruelest punishment is sitting in a cell w/out freedom to what you want.

Hey Nicki! I've been away on holiday for a week so today's little verdict for the penalty phase came as a surprise to me. I thought for sure he would get LWOP, but, I guess either way, he'll be in prison forever. It's now time for him to pay for his crimes, so, he will do that on death row.
