There's so much negativity going on here (Dawne,Janet & Justin),I thought I might lift up everyone's spirits a bit. I know a lot of people have gone against my opinion about WO adding more members to the roster, but just try to at least put the picture inside your head and give it a chance for once. Now just imagine it,Stacy comes back to WO (which I know will happen one day),then they recruit their old friends,Kelly Packard and Jennie Kwan (of Baywatch,Nobody's Angel and California Dreams fame) into the group. They sign with DreamWorks/Universal and finally achieve big time success. But then Renee signs with Epic/Sony for a solo deal and leaves the group. Then the four remaining members bring in someone new to take her place. I know it sounds awkward and it might not happen, but just put the picture and vision in your head just this once. That's all I ask.

You don't have to pretend,Elle. Just put the picture and vision in your head, that's all.

I tried really hard to envision it, it wasn't working for me. Although the part about Renee going solo and signing with Epic/Sony is perhaps more believable to me. I thought all along that WO should have been on Columbia instead of RCA. Does anybody know if RCA was the only label that offered WO a contract? Meaning did they have more offers from other labels before signing with RCA?

I remember reading somewhere once that after they started writing their own songs that there was a bit of a battle from record companies to sign them and RCA won, not sure who the other labels were though.

Well, hindsight is always 20/20, I bet now they wish that RCA wasn't the one who signed them. Although, I'm a believer in that things happen for a reason and what they went through has only made them stronger.

I think they wrestled with the idea of replacing Stacy before deciding on a duo, but it might be interesting to think about who would round out the sound of the group were they to take on a third member. Granted those are some BIG shoes to fill. I think Crystal Lewis would be a good fit, although now that she sings for the lord I can't imgine her singing "All The Way"! LOL. Another would be a singer named Jordan Hill. She had a minor club hit in 1996 with a remix of her single "For The Love of You". She was only 16, but man, could she SING. Another possibility would be Wendy Moten who had minor success (Sidenote: Who is else is fed up with incredibly talented vocalists who only achieve minor success?) in 1993 with her self-titled album. I think they're doing just fine as is, but it's fun to imagine.

Okay, Mav, you and I are like seeing eye to eye tonight, Jordan Hill is the girl! She would be a great in WO! She is going through the same thing as Renee and Stef are. Trying to get her music heard and her talent appreciated. There is new music coming from her soon, so, look out for that.

Btw Mav, did you know that Jordan's real name is Whitney? Jordan is actually her middle name.

Well,at least ya'll are getting parts of the vision with Renee's solo deal and a replacement. Now all you have to do is fit in Kelly Packard and Jennie Kwan into the group (they sang before on California Dreams),Stacy returning to WO,signing with DreamWorks/Universal Music. Try real hard this time,ok?

I had no idea. I barely knew anything about her other than she was very talented. Since we're going out on a limb, I think everyone would love to see Stacy back in the fold. As far as Kelly and Jennie go, I've never heard them sing, so I coudln't really offer an opinion. Honestly, I would b heartbroken if Renee left. What makes this group rise above the others is their talent and the uniqueness of their sound. I worry switching out people too much would affect that. But this was fun.

Does anybody else out there sees my vision just a little bit?

The reason why I always humored Tina Arena to be in WO was because she's not known here in the states, and I think her being in the group could her get known here in the U.S. Think about it, Tina could finally get some stateside success if she was part of something major here.

That's all I ask. Anything is possible. Personally, I'm hoping that Renee goes solo one day and is just as successful as Stacy is with BEP. On another note, there is alot of negativity, especially on the Official Wild Orchid Message site, but hopefully these two sites will be great. So far, it looks like this message board is wonderful. Nice cover page. To answer one question, according to my records and interviews of Wild Orchid, when the girls first started out as N.R.G. as everyone knows, the demo songs that they sent me was from Paramount. Maybe someone can contact Gerardo Bernard at 818-701-0791 and ask him why RCA signed them instead of Paramount.

Renee could have her own style of music and can have a reputation of being a bad girl (celebrity type)
Stacy Ferguson can be sexual and smooth at the same time with her music
Tina Arena can bring her style into the group as well as on her own
Stefanie Ridel, Jennie Kwan, and Kelly Packard can form a second group like Bell Biv DeVoe and have a real funky hip hop/R&B sound working with people like Missy Elliott, The Neptunes, Trackmasters, etc.
