Lately, it has come to my attention that there has been some high unecessary childish behavior on Wild Orchid's official messageboard. From vulgar language, to epithets, to silliness all around by people who are old enough to know better. How hard is it to respect the integrity of their board and the integrity of Stefanie and Renee themselves? How hard is it for people to act mature? It's not hard at all. That board has been turned into a three ring circus. Is this the thanks Stefanie and Renee get for all their hard work and achievements? A bunch of immature fans with nothing else better to do than to post lascivious things on a messageboard to get attention. Quite a few of us have asked ourselves why didn't WO have a moderator on the board. Oddly enough, there is a simple explanation. Stefanie and Renee thought their fans were mature. Why on earth would they need a moderator if they naturally assumed their fans were mature adults? What has been done to their board is a slap in the face to them. It is utterly disrespectful. I and like so many other fans are absolutely fed up. What fan wants to be greeted with epithets while trying to post about the band they enjoy listening to? Stefanie, Renee, and the fans who respect them deserve so much more than this. How can a peace loving band like WO attract such disgusting objectionable fans? I have a high repugnance of such people. The antagonism being displayed on their board is completely unwarranted. It has also come to my attention that there has been some overly critical comments made about WO. I am all for constructive criticism, but there's a fine line between that and being just plain evil. Of course we all have our opinions when it comes to WO and not everybody's opinion is going to be on the positive side, but there's tact in the way it can be done. What is wrong with encouraging Stefanie and Renee? What is wrong with trying to keep them positive? They are fully aware that going independent isn't going to be easy. I personally, think that by starting their own record label was absolutely brilliant. They now have the artistic freedom to make the music that they want. They are no longer the puppets of a big label. Yes, being on a big label has it's perks for sure, but you sacrifice a lot of artistic freedom by being on a big label. This is the time when WO fans need to be united behind them. The typical fan that sees his/her favourite star's career go downward they usually move on to the next big thing. That's not true for some of WO's fans. There are some very supportive WO fans that have stuck by them through thick and thin. Their support has never wavered. That has to mean a great deal to Stefanie and Renee. To know that there are some fans out there who still appreciate their talent and hardwork. There is nothing wrong with building Stefanie and Renee up. Encouragement is a good thing. Especially, now at this point in their career. I thought "Hypnotic" was great, despite Stacy's absence. Some say they wasted their money on buying it. Okay, fine, people are entitled to their opinion, but I don't think people realize that, that was the first time WO got to record what they wanted. "Hypnotic" was a milestone in their career. It was a bold statement by WO asserting their independence. They have been blessed with amazing and immeasurable talent. For reasons only known to them they are still recording music. They have decided to keep doing what makes them happy. That says to me that no matter how long it takes or how hard traveling the road may be Renee and Stefanie are determined to be heard and to make their dreams come true. They are two incredible women who haven't yielded in the face of adversity. They are survivors. I appreciate all that they do. I respect them and admire them for their unyielding determination. I hope they pursue and conquer all their dreams with a vengeance. Keep fighting the good fight you two.

AMEN TO THAT ELLE!!!
You could not have said it better. I too am fed up with the entire situation. These people are in their late 20's, almost THIRTY years old, and they act as if they are going into the 5th grade. I for one do not surround myself with people like that. I am waaaay too good to even waste my time putting up with that shit. I am way too good for them. Stephanie and Renee are way too good for them. No matter what Wild Orchid will always be my favorite singers, in all that they do, including Stacy. I will not though put up with that, WO and the good fans deserve better and though this board and Erics may not be official, at least they are happy upbeat sites to visit. Like you said Elle, WO does have a small group of very loyal fans who never stop supporting them. Its so sad that there are so many negative fans out there with nothing better to do then talk shit about the normal fans and about WO themselves. For me the official board is no longer a place I want to go, and though I have nothing but love and support for the girls I won't post there until something changes.

You guys are both so very right, I'd say post it on the offical board but no one would read it and if they did, well we know what would happen. I feel so bad for WO for the way their message board has turned out. They are such sweet people they don't deserve it. I know they know they have some great fans, when I was talking with them in Lake Havasu they said that by my driving up from Tucson (which is 5 hours away) it just proved and reminded them of what amazing fans they had. I hope they don't see their board, I would hate to have them think that that 3-ring circus is what we are all like.

I would post it on their official board if I thought it would make a shred of difference. Ignorance is not bliss. They feed off of each other's hate and ignorance on that board. It's disgusting. I am far too smart, too old, and too good to be apart of that quagmire. I agree Adrea, I hope they never see their board. They don't need to know that they have disgusting objectionable so-called fans. Cheers to both of you for great posts!

*starts passing the collection plate* I agree with everyone on here. I think the fighting is ridiculous, pointless and needs to come to an end-quick.

I agree Nicki! Really ridiculous. A quick end would be nice but I highly doubt that it's going to subside.

Same here.
Forgive my laziness, but I posted this same thing on Eric's board:
I certainly hope that Stefanie and Renee don't take that board seriously. There's no way at this point that they couldn't have seen it, it's been like this for way too long. On a good day, it's bad comedy. Nobody wants to get involved so nobody posts anything, constructive or not, because we all know the outcome. My only hope is that the girls visit some of the other places where their fans gather. I have no doubt that Stefanie and Renee know that what goes on at that board is NOT a representation of what their fan base has become.

Mav, you're so right. The majority of us are doing our own little protest of the board by not posting there. We do not want to be apart of that debacle. And you're absolutely right, no matter what anybody posts may it be good or not the outcome will be the same. Some of those so-called fans should be ashamed of themselves. I also wanted to add that, I don't think people realize how hard it was for Stefanie and Renee to pick up the pieces after what happened with RCA and with Stacy's departure. They knew that it was going to be hard to convince people that they could go on without Stacy. They knew that people would be skeptical. People don't react well to change, but change is good. Our society loves to build people up only to enjoy tearing them down. It's so easy for people to make off-the-cuff remarks about somebody when they don't have the slightest clue as to what that person has been through or what that person is like as a person. Underneath all the glitz and glamour Stefanie and Renee are two human beings. They cry just like we do and they hurt just like we do. Negative comments do hurt one's psyche. I find it interesting that it's so easy for people to be negative all the time. People always seem to focus more on the negative instead of the positive. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of what WO has accomplished. Everything WO has done up to this point has been completely financed by them. From "Hypnotic" to their site. There is no big label pulling the strings behind the scenes. Stefanie and Renee took a huge risk by going independent. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision to come to, but they did what they had to do. Going down the indie road may be how they finally will get the recognition they deserve. We all have different paths in life to follow. Maybe this path is the one for Renee and Stefanie. I just don't think they need people kicking them while they're down. They need all the support and positivity they can get. I know one thing that's true, they have the best support coming from everybody on Eric's board and this board!

I haven't really been online much lately, but I can't believe that is still going on.
Is it still the same person or has it gotton worse.

Yes, it's still going on. It's still the same ignorant, vile, and inhumane person making their board into a circus. None of us go there anymore. It's not a happy place, so we don't post there anymore.
