I've been listening to the song "Big Girls Don't Cry" alot from Fergie's new album. She had mentioned that the song is about independence. I can't help but think that this song is largely written about Wild Orchid, and Stacy's departure from them and her transformation into Fergie. The lyrics and melody have a very bittersweet tone to them, and I could almost hear her sing her word to Renee and Stefanie as a goodbye/dedication, especially the line "It's time for me to go home, it's getting dark outside and I need to center...clarity...serenity".
If you think about it, Fergie keeps mentioning in interviews that this is a very personal album...if so, how could she possibly ignore WO in her songs, since she spent nearly a third of her entire life with this group? I think it's a big shame that she doesn't even include Renee in her thank-yous, and mentions Stef but Stef's last name isn't spelled right.
One more thing...I read an article about the Slumber Party Girls and it stated that Stef is currently dating Ron Fair (who produced WO and is Fergie's boss). Does anyone know that to be true? What happened to Stef's marriage?

Stef and Ron...as a couple?!..Oh my damn! Since Stefanie hasn't advertised as to what happened to her marriage, neither will I.
I am totally with you about Stacy and her "forgetfulness" about Wild Orchid. I do understand that she has moved on from that, but to just plain ignore it and act like it never happened really gets on my nerves. What she went through with Wild Orchid has prepared her for what she is doing now. Wild Orchid was her foundation. She's built upon that since then, and rightfully so. However, she would be wise not to step on those who helped her on the way up, because she will need them as a mattress on the way down. I'm not saying that is what she has done, it's just a piece of friendly advice.

What article did you read this in? I have read several about Stef & Ron producing the Slumber Party Girls but have read nothing about them dating.

This is probably going to sound naive-do you think the PR dept of Interscope has some part in the omission of Wild Orchid? I guess in their eyes WO does not fit the image their trying to market. Stacy always says that she likes to be honest, well, she should be honest about her past group. Stefanie and Renee are not some manufactured Barbies she met on a reality show, they're true friends (they tried to intervene concerning her drug use). As I fan of WO and the music of BEP, I find her dishonesty insulting. I need to stop typing b/c I'm getting seriously pissed

It probably could be a PR move. A very unintelligible one. However, it would explain my theory as to why WO's site was conveniently yanked(either by choice or by force) a couple weeks prior to the release of "The Dutchess". I could be over-reaching, but why pull the plug on the site now? After all this time of it being up? Why just a few weeks before the release? On their site they did have Stacy's image(s) on the site in the "About" videos. Could it be that Interscope didn't want to have that running interference with it's newly solo artist? Or the site could have been yanked because that's what Stef and Renée wanted. They probably thought the message board would be inundated with posts about "The Dutchess". I can see why that could have led them to yank the site. Especially, with it being a message board for them and not so much for Stacy. I do not understand the lack of mention when it comes to Stefanie and especially Renée. Stefanie and Renée were there for her in her darkest hour. I really hope that they're still there. Friends like those are hard to come by nowadays. It would be ashame to lose them. I don't think any of us can speak to the nature of Stacy's relationship to Stefanie and Renee nowadays. It says a lot that she used an old Wild Orchid song on the album that Stef and Renee co-wrote, which basically means they're getting paid from whatever success "The Dutchess" achieves sales-wise. Since her relationship with Stefanie and Renee is no longer a professional one, it's now an exclusively personal friendship and Stacy is likely treating it as another part of her private life.
Cold as it may sound, I don't think Stacy owes them anything. As she said in her own words "I was with them for 11 years, if that isn't loyalty, I don't know what is".
-My two cents

Everyone has differing thoughts about the subject. People feel strongly both ways. So, thank you for your opinion(s) Mav.

Ok after a little research I read the New York Times Article about the Slumber Party Girls, and it does say in there that Stef is dating Ron. However, whether it its is true or not we do not know, nor do I think anyone here will get either of them to tell us, so take this for what its worth.
