Today 7 years ago Wild Orchid released their first album. Although the album was (and still is an outstanding album) it only sold 108,000 copies. The lyrics and harmonies created by WO were so amazing and it's a shame they never made it big. But at least we know they are happy and they are making they're own decisions in their life and music career.
If you thought they were over, which probably none of us did, think again... because Wild Orchid as always is working on new material. Stefanie is working on her solo album. Renee is finding her sound and eventually putting out an album. And they are working with artists for their very own record company Yellow Brick Records.
Also, the album I'm waiting for most is STACY'S album!! Her very first solo album will be in stores at the very beginning of summer. Stacy's lifelong dream is coming true... although she is not a part of Wild Orchid anymore, she is still happy and making the music she's always wanted to.
Today, we should remember WO's wonderful music and anticpate many more years of great music to come from all members of WO. Who knows, Stacy could get platinum success and then maybe she might give Wild Orchid another chance. I really hope for another WO album with Stacy, I miss the 1997 sound of WO. But Wild Orchid is still great and will always be the greatest girl group of all time. Thank you!! 1
