Everything with WO takes time

Does anyone else notice that?. Everything about WO takes a lot of time to complete.

WILD ORCHID first got together in 1990 and didn't get a record deal until 1996...then they put out AT NIGHT I PRAY and then had to wait to release a 2nd single TALK TO ME before their full album came out.

OXYGEN came out and didn't sell so basically all the work they did for OXYGEN was a waste of time, did they even promote it? I never saw a video for BE MINE (in fact, TALK TO ME is the only WO video I've ever seen).

Then FIRE wasn't even released, although since they were on GREAT PRETENDERS...Stuttering didn't even have to be that big of a song and FIRE still probably could've outsold their debut album (108,000).

Then STACY left the group, and was supposed to do a solo album...then did the BEP album...and the 2nd BEP (withSTACY) album MONKEY BUSINESS was supposed to come out in November, now I don't know when it's coming out. But since BEP album was postponed, STACY'S album has been postponed and now it will probably not be out until 2006.

Then WO must've lost their record deals with YELLOW BRICK, because they have not updated their site since forever. There is no news on them, and there is no new WO or STEFANIE music.

I understand your frustration, but when you're doing it on your own it takes a long time. Also, BEP's record lable doesn't want to impair sales of "Elephunk" with a new release just yet. It's all about $$$$$

Mav's right. Stefanie and Renee are doing everything on their own now, so, it's going to take longer. Personally, I don't really care how long it takes them. I just want them to be happy with whatever they decide to do in their lives.

I know it's going to take longer...but how long does it take to update their site...or at least write a diary entry? I know they love their fans, because of everybody's stories they have when they met them but what's the deal?

HYPNOTIC left me wanting more WO music, and now they're not even together anymore? If it's taking this long for Stefanie to make her album...we cannot expect another WO album till like 2007 or 2008. How are they making money?

I think both Renee and Stefanie are busy doing other things besides music. They could doing films, producing, ect. The sky is the limit. They're two incredible multi-talented women. I'm sure that when it comes to their finances they're well intact. You are right, they do appreciate their fans.

In the world of Wild Orchid you quickly learn that time doesn't exist!...lol You just sit back and wait to be surprised. I know it can be quite irritating and probably downright annoying, but, the final product is always worth the wait.

I like to think of Stacy, Renee and Stefanie as fine wine. With every year that goes by, their music gets better.

I totally support what you are saying. I've been thinking over and over what Stef or Renee could possibly be doing in their lives that cause them to be so incredibly busy, that they don't have even 5 minutes to write a quick update on their site. As fans, I don't think we're expecting too much - just a reminder from the girls that they're still alive and well. At this point in their careers, I honestly don't think they can afford to lose touch with any more fans, since they may in fact be losing fans by the day due to their ongoing absence from the music industry. I'd be very curious to know how many fans actually subscribe to this site or log on to the main site. Jamie's site continues to have many visitors, but are they just plugging for Fergie news, or do they truly expect any significant update about Wild Orchid?
