I was on the phone yesterday and while on hold, heard the opening strains of "Come As You Are". Delighted, I listened along only to discover the 1st vocal riff was not Renee, before the 1st verse started, I was taken off hold.
Determine to unmask this imposter, I took to the internet and found that uber-Christian recording star Jaci Velasquez has covered this Wild Orchid classic on her album 'Crystal Clear'. The lyrics have been almost entirely altered to praise Jesus rather than promote blind acceptance of a lover's flaws, but it's interesting listen. Her MSN Group has a sample:
